One trip, split between Mexico City and Oaxaca. The obsidian is worked in a village outside Teotihuacán by people who also cut it for archaeologists. The copal figures come from San Martín Tilcajete, painted by two sisters who work from six until eleven and then stop, because after that the light goes flat.
