One trip, mostly Athens, in a heat that made afternoons useless. The dishes are cut from Pentelic offcuts in a yard at Markopoulo — the same quarry stone as the Parthenon, sold by the kilo. We asked about a larger piece and were told, kindly, to come back in winter.
